OUTDOOR ADVENTURES
The Hudson Valley offers year-round fun for the entire family.
With hundreds of miles of tracks and trails to enjoy right on the doorstep and so many beautiful places to explore, the valley is a hiker's paradise.
As well as mountain-biking, cyclists can enjoy 200-miles of the famous Empire State Trail, which winds through the valley, highlighting some very special places.
In the colder months, the Hudson Valley becomes a winter wonderland, where a plethora of fun outdoor activities can be enjoyed including snowshoeing, snowmobiling, snowboarding downhill and cross-country skiing, and sledding.
Nearby to the SHELTER site, the Shawangunk Mountain Range, well-known in the climbing community as ‘The Gunks’, is one of America’s leading rock climbing and ice climbing areas and home to some of the best climbs in the country.
