Its magnificent beauty has inspired many artists and even stimulated a 19th Century landscape art movement by artists known collectively as The Hudson River School. It has since become a  major cultural hub, brimming with galleries, museums, festivals, concerts and theaters.

 

The valley has a legendary thriving food scene thanks to its celebrated chefs, the world-famous Culinary Institute of America, award-winning wineries, distilleries and craft breweries, and an abundance of farm markets, which run throughout the year. 

 

It has become a major destination for outdoor activities, boasting thousands of miles of walking and cycling trails, exceptional ski resorts and premier climbing regions. 

 

In recent years, popularity of the valley has radically grown and it has become a center for wellness and, thanks to the relatively temperate climate enjoyed in the Hudson Valley, it has been tipped as a major haven for climate migration.
