TMA (Third Millennium Alliance) is protecting and restoring what is arguably the most endangered rainforest on earth: the Pacific Forest of Ecuador. They use a community-centric approach to converting abandoned agricultural land into thriving forests that provide food and income for local families, remove carbon from the atmosphere, and help preserve a global biodiversity hotspot.
In addition to the work that it plans to do in the Hudson Valley to minimize and offset its carbon emissions, Shelter will fund a reforestation of 380 acres of rainforest with TMA and the surrounding community.
